Folic Acid 5 mg is a form of vitamin B9 used to prevent and treat folate deficiency. It plays an important role in the formation of red blood cells and supports normal cell growth and development. Folic Acid 5 mg is commonly used to treat or prevent anemia caused by folic acid deficiency, during pregnancy to help prevent neural tube defects in the baby, and in certain medical conditions that increase folate requirements. Take the tablet once daily or as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, and swallow with water.
