Postinor-2 is an emergency contraceptive (morning-after pill) used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure, ideally within 72 hours (3 days). It contains 0.75 mg of levonorgestrel per tablet, working primarily by delaying ovulation. It is highly effective if taken immediately but does not protect against STIs and is not for routine use.
