Urikind KM Sachet is a nutritional supplement formulated with Cranberry extract, Potassium magnesium citrate, and D-Mannose to help prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs). It works by preventing the adhesion of uropathogenic E. coli (UPEC) to the urinary tract through both P-type and Type-1 pili. D-Mannose helps block the attachment of UPEC to the bladder walls, reducing the risk of cystitis (bladder infections), while Cranberry extract prevents bacterial adherence to the kidney walls, helping to prevent pyelonephritis (kidney infections). By reducing UTI occurrence, Urikind KM can lower the need for antibiotics and is suitable for long-term preventive use. Unlike antibiotics, it does not contribute to resistance, secondary infections, or significant side effects and is considered safe for use during pregnancy. It is suitable for asymptomatic bacteriuria in pregnancy, recurrent cystitis and pyelonephritis, post-coital infections, and recurrent UTIs in diabetics, adolescents, and peri- or post-menopausal women.
